Description
Suffolk County Council and Reclaim the Rain will serve as a strategic collaborator responsible for ensuring strong alignment between all stakeholders and project objectives. They will provide expertise, contribute essential operational insights, and serve as decision makers throughout the delivery of the I-WAP. These partners will facilitate coordination across their teams where required, maintain open communication channels, and help monitor progress against key milestones. They will also play an active role in identifying risks, escalating issues when necessary, and securing the internal resources required to maintain project momentum. Through these responsibilities, the partner will help drive the successful implementation of the I-WAP and ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for Norfolk and Suffolk.

Please note that both Norfolk County Council and Suffolk County Council have approved a devolution deal which is expected to lead to the establishment of a Mayoral Combined County Authority with strategic powers, headed by an elected mayor. Subject to the government laying a Statutory Instrument and to its approval by Parliament to formally establish the new combined authority, the first Mayoral election is expected to be in May 2026.
