The MOD Medals Office (MODMO) has a requirement for the provision of Medals, Stars, Clasps, Awards, Badges, Coins and other Associated items. The requirement will be split into 2 Lots; Lot 1 will be for Medals, Stars, Clasps, Awards and other Associated Items and Lot 2 will be for Badges and Coins. Any contract(s) resulting from this Notice will be Framework Agreements with one supplier (if each Lot should be awarded to different suppliers there would be 2 Framework Agreements each with one supplier). MODMO would call off items as they are required, in exceptional circumstances the contract may be used by other government departments to order medals. Any contract would be for a duration of 2 years with options for the Authority, at it's discretion, to extend it in monthly or annual increments for up to an additional 2 years.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The MOD Medals Office (MODMO) are responsible for the assessment of eligibility and award of Medals and Awards to serving military personnel, in some cases to their next of kin, to retired military personnel and in some cases to their families. The MODMO has a requirement for the provision of Medals, Stars, Clasps, Awards and other Associated items. Items will be called-off as required by the MODMO, there is no guarantee of orders being placed, however estimated annual volumes are as follows:
Current Operational and Non Operational Gallantry Awards (5), Meritorious Service Awards (22), Discontinued Operational and Non Operational Decorations Gallantry Awards (4), Memorial Medals (40), World War I Medals (65), Inter War Campaign Medals (5), World War II Medals (4780), Post World War II Campaign Medals (3360), Coronation/Jubilee Medals (80), Current Meritorious and Long Service Medals (5427), Other Efficiency and Long Service Decorations and Medals (25), Polar Medal (5), Current Gallantry and Meritorious Service Award Bars (2), World War I Clasps (1), World War II Clasps (310), Post World War II Campaign Medal Clasps (3500), Other Clasps to Efficiency and Long Service Decorations and Medals (5), Ribbon Emblems for Commendations (50), Ribbon Emblems (20), Badges (30 000), Medal Mounting services (140), Various Ribbon (25), Medal Boxes (20000) and Deceased Medal Presentation Cases (50). Some of the above will be required as boxed sets.
The Contractor will be required to undertake 3D scanning and produce stereolithography (.stl) files. The Contractor may be required to manufacture and supply any newly declared Medals, Awards, Clasps, Ribbons and other associated items (this may require the manufacture and supply of large volumes in short timescales). The Contractor may be required to assist the Authority in the design of any new items. The Contractor may be required to manufacture and supply Medals and Awards to other Government Departments.
No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting framework agreement or contract indeed there is no guarantee that any framework agreement or contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting framework agreement is withdrawn for any reason. Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position.

The MODMO has a requirement for the provision HM Armed Forces Veterans Badges, which will be called-off the Framework as required by the MODMO, there is no guarantee of orders being placed, however estimated volumes are approximately 30,000 badges per annum. There is also the potential that the MOD may require other badges and or Coins during the lifetime of the contract.
