two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The MOD Medals Office (MODMO) are responsible for the assessment of eligibility and award of Medals and Awards to serving military personnel, veterans, MOD civilians and in some cases to their next of kin. The various items awarded (further details below) are currently procured via a contract with one supplier.

The MODMO wishes to undertake Early Market Engagement with industry by holding a Virtual Market Interest event on 19 May 2021 followed by the sharing of an Industry Questionnaire. The aim of the Market Interest Event is to provide industry with an overview of the work undertaken by MODMO and the various items they process. The aim of the questionnaire is to determine the level of interest industry has in manufacturing and providing various items to MODMO and industry’s views on how they would wish to see any future requirement put to the market.
