Norfolk County Council (NCC) is renewing its existing Norfolk Assistance Scheme framework agreement. NCC introduced a Local Assistance Scheme in April 2013 in response to the abolition of part of the Discretionary Social Fund scheme administered by the DWP. It replaced Community Care Grants and Crisis Loans, but no new statutory powers were introduced.NCC is tendering a framework agreement for suppliers to fulfil issuing reused white goods, household furnishings and other household items and requirements of the Norfolk Assistance Scheme (NAS). To support the Council’s objectives, NCC requires providers who assist vulnerable adults with goods for setting up a home.
