This is an Intention to Award Notice to award using the Most Suitable Provider Process to The Mote Medical Practice to deliver primary medical services in Staplehurst, Kent, as a branch surgery with the current patient list (by allocation while noting patient registration choice) from 1st April 2025.

Please note in terms of the lifetime contract value advertised as this is a GMS contract, meaning it will be held in perpetuity the figure of £706, 680.04 is based on the annual value.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

This is an Intention to Award Notice to award using the Most Suitable Provider Process to The Mote Medical Practice to deliver primary medical services in Staplehurst, Kent, as a branch surgery with the current patient list (by allocation while noting patient registration choice) from 1st April 2025.

The value of the contract per annum is £706, 680.04. The lifetime value of the contract cannot be calculated due to the GMS contract being held in perpetuity.

The Mote Medical Practice are a new provider for the provision of primary medical services at the Staplehurst site, but they are an existing GMS Contract holder.

The contract variation to the existing providers GMS contract will be effective from 1st April 2025. There is no end date as contract is in perpetuity.

Written representations need to be sent via the Atamis e-tendering portal, Project Reference: C302040: MSP Intention Notice: Provision of General Medical Services in Staplehurst, Kent.

The decision makers for this process were the General Practice Contract Oversight Group (GPCOG) and the Director of Primary and Community (out of hospital) care under Executive Officers Scheme of Authority to Act (EOSAA).

The provider was deemed the most capable provider to best meet the needs of the service against the Basic Selection Criteria and Key Criteria. The 5 Key Criteria were deemed as equal importance in this MSP process.

There was one Conflict of interest identified throughout the process as a panel member is a patient at The Mote Medical Practice. The non-conflicted members assessed the nature and risk of this conflict, and decided and implemented steps to take to avoid or manage it.
