two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Our Trust specialises in high-quality early years education, primary education, and specialist provision. As we have grown, we have been careful to ensure that our academies are able to work together in hubs, which have been created around geographical areas.

Currently, the Trust extends across two key areas, Barnsley, and Wakefield. During this period, we have carved out a reputation as a sturdy and dependable organisation, with a strong track record of having improved provision in every school that has joined us. This developmental journey underscores our dedication to enriching educational experiences and nurturing robust connections within the communities we serve.

The Trust currently consists of fourteen schools; nine primary schools, two junior schools, two infant schools, and one special academy. We also have and four Pre-Schools on primary school sites. We serve approximately 3500 pupils.

The Trust would like to work with a provider who is experienced and innovative in providing catering services to the education sector and primary schools in particular. The successful Supplier will be expected to uphold high standards of food and service, demonstrating a strong commitment to healthy eating and to increasing sales. A high level of contract support will be expected.

Please note there will be some employees in the local government pension scheme, therefore Admitted Body Status will be expected.
