This tender is to allow further organisations to apply for a contract to provide care home services to Warwickshire County Council (the Council) and Coventry and (NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board) ICB, following the original tenders in 2016.

This framework is for the provision of care home and nursing home placements for (the Council and (NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board) ICB.

Please note that the ICB anticipate using alternative arrangements for their placements within Coventry City.

The Council will be acting as lead commissioner in this procedure.

This tender is for all care home services for older people and adults with support needs which includes (but is not limited to):

- Residential and nursing;

- Physical disabilities;

- Learning disabilities and/or autism;

- Mental health needs;

- Dementia;

- Sensory impairment;

- Acquired brain injury;

- Cognitive impairment;

- Continuing healthcare

The tender also includes the opportunity to bid for the D2A block bed provision under the framework

These services may also be subject to other modifications and changes in order to meet the changing needs and demands of the Authority, the ICB and the customers. The new contracts are for the provision of care home services within the County Council boundaries of Warwickshire County Council and Coventry City Council or where the customer is a patient of the ICB then the location where they live, which is generally within a reasonable distance of the boundaries

The Council will undertake its financial assessment of the tendering organisation (and if considered necessary by the Council, any partners within a consortium bid) based on its own

evaluation of the Tenderers most recent 2 years accounts (or if 2 years accounts are not available, equivalent evidence which confirms financial viability). The assessment of accounts will be supported by an independent credit reference report from Creditsafe where this is available. The Council may also impose a Bond or Performance Guarantee on the successful Tenderer
