The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking to establish a framework to provide remote support and a responder service as an alternative for people who currently have staff who support them at night where appropriate, and as a first option of night time support in new packages of care.
The key objectives of this service are to increase options for people who need night time support, reduce reliance on staff in homes, utilise technology for planned and emergency situations and to provide a staffed service where appropriate.
