Orbit Group is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Contractor who can undertake decarbonisation retrofit works in line with the requirements of PAS 2035.

The initial project is made up of circa 410 properties over 2 years of which 160 will be funded by SHDF wave 2.1 funding. Orbit will continue to explore other areas of funding for the remaining properties. This project is expected to start in March 2024 and complete by no later than September 2025. The projected combined value of the contract for the initial two years of the contract is circa £16 million.

Although the initial intention is to deliver the works in Orbits Wave SHDF 2.1 bid, there will be further works which may be funded by ECO 4 or fully funded by Orbit. The intention is to enter into a long-term partnering agreement with a Principal Contractor to undertake decarbonisation retrofit works across Orbit’s geographical coverage. It is our intention to put in place 24 Months initial contract with the option to extend for 2 x 24 months subject to programme and available budget.
