Wealden District Council (‘the Council’) are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to provide a cleaning service for all the Council offices, Public buildings and Public conveniences within the Wealden area.The work has been divided into three distinct Contracts (to be referred to as Lots) so as to recognise the specialist nature and requirements of each activity:i) Lot One: Council Offices and Ad Hoc Servicesii) Lot Two: Crematorium iii) Lot Three: Public ConveniencesIt is anticipated that the contract will commence in 1st April 2022 up to 31st March 2025 with an option to extend by 2x 12 month periods until 31st March 2027.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Wealden District Council requires the regular cleaning of Wealden District Council’s offices and civic hall. The cleaning specification refers to single site consisting of several buildings located at:Wealden District Council Offices, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 2QA The building is over three floors and includes meeting rooms, a café, public reception & a separate civic hall. The layout and use of the offices may change during the period of the contract.The Council also requires an Ad Hoc cleaning service for specific cleaning tasks relating to commercial buildings. Details of the type of cleaning service will be provided upon service request.The Council may request one off Ad hoc cleans to other specific sites or commercial buildings during the period of this contract.

Wealden District Council requires the regular cleaning of Wealden District Council’s crematorium. The crematorium hosts services daily and is open Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm with occasional Saturday services. The crematorium opened in 2019.
