Description
Homes in Somerset has approximately 4,000 properties which are a mixture of general needs, supported and extra care properties.
Currently fire safety systems included within this contract are installed in approximately 194 sites.
This specification details the requirement for fire safety and associated equipment installation, servicing and testing throughout the portfolio, providing servicing and maintenance to:
• Fire alarm systems (including associated parts such as panels and detectors)
• Emergency lighting systems
• Lightning Protection Systems
• Automatic opening vents (AOVs)
• Non Automatic Fire Systems
• Portable Fire Fighting Equipment
• Sprinkler Systems
• Smoke Systems
Total value (estimated)
- £500,000 excluding VAT
- £600,000 including VAT

- 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2027
- Possible extension to 31 August 2030

Description of possible extension:
An extension is possible on a year by year basis for up to 3 further years subject to good performance and agreement of both parties

Justification for not using lots
For business continuity purposes it is not sensible to split into lots but businesses will be able to subcontract to other companies if unable to meet all of the requirements themselves.
