Leicester City Council invites Tenders for the provision of Welfare support services which consists of White Goods, Furniture and Mattresses.
The Authority’s requirements are split into two (2) Lots (as below).
The proposed Contract(s) will be for an initial term of three (3) years with an option to extend Lot 1 and Lot 2 by a period, or periods, totalling no more than a further two (2) years.
The tender consists of 2 separate Lots:
Lot 1 - New and Re-Use Furniture and New Mattresses (Domestic)
Lot 2 - Re-Use, Graded and New White Goods (Domestic)
Lots will be awarded separately. If a Supplier wishes to bid on more than one Lot, they will need to submit a separate tender for each additional Lot.

The Authority operates the Community Support Grant Scheme (CSG), which is part of the Council’s welfare provision. The aim of the CSG Scheme is to support vulnerable people in short-term crisis to meet urgent needs or to provide support grants to enable them to maintain their independence in the community.
Lot 1 is for the provision of new /reuse goods for domestic household use and consists of:

b) new mattresses
c) re-used furniture
d) collection of donated furniture items
