Peel Ports owns and operates six of the UK’s most important ports (Port of Liverpool, Heysham Port, Manchester Ship Canal, Medway (Sheerness / Chatham), Clydeport (Greenock, Hunterston, Ardrossan) and Great Yarmouth). It also operates a container terminal in Dublin. In the majority of these locations, the company builds, extends and refurbishes warehouses in support of its business strategy.
As such, Peel Ports is engaging in market research with a view to launching a regulated procurement competitive tender process at a later date for the award of a warehouse design and build contract.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The aim of this periodic indicative notice is to conduct research in order to establish market interest and inform the procurement strategy for the upcoming tender. Interested contractors are invited to demonstrate to Peel Ports their warehouse design and build capability.
The scope shall be for the Contractor to be responsible for Warehouse Design and Construction.
The warehouse is likely to be of portal frame construction designed to maximise the clear internal height, particularly at the eaves/haunch. The footprint of the warehouse is approximately 247,500 square foot.
Contract includes external surfacing, fencing, external lighting, provision of water and electrical supplies.
New structure to be building regulations compliant and the Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all necessary approvals and certificates.
