The commitment has been made by the contractor, as part of a package of Fair Work Practices, to pay staff involved with the delivery of this contract the rate the real Living Wage, the rate set independently and updated annually by the Living Wage Foundation.
The following community benefits will also be delivered as a result of this contract:
1. One apprenticeship opportunity
2. One paid week of work experience for a recent graduate chef
3. End of life products will be made available to Scottish Government staff for nominal donations which will then be passed on to a local charity
4. Partnership with local schools to deliver an education programme inspired by the Good Food Nation policy.
5. Annual donation to a local charity (this may be monetary or for any specific requirement the organisation is in need of).
The published contract value includes the optional extension years and an estimate for the potential annual price uplifts (based on CPI) over the contract term.
