two.1.4) Short description

The UK Sports Institute (UKSI) wishes to procure a new mobile voice, data and SMS services contract for 36 months starting from November 2023 for approximately 400 connections. The UKSI employs approximately 400 staff who are based at several performance centres in the UK. Most of the workforce regularly work away from their centres and have work patterns that are mobile and remote. A large number of staff work abroad; their overseas travel may cover periods up to several months. Staff have been issued with iPhone 8, iPhone SE(2020) and iPhone 12, and it is intended that these devices will remain in use for the new contract. As a publicly funded organisation UKSI is seeking to maximise value for money and wishes to minimise one-off set up costs as well as ongoing revenue costs.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The UK Sports Institute (UKSI) is seeking to appoint one supplier to provide a contract for mobile voice, data and SMS services for 36 months to its 400 employees.

The supplier will need to:

1. Provide connections for all employees.

2. Offer solutions for allocating individual user data thresholds, and capping of data use when tethering or roaming

3. Provide ongoing technical and customer services support throughout the contract under a Service Level Agreement

4. Provide a clear charging structure with an online billing portal; the portal must have an easy to use facility to analyse summary and detailed breakdowns of billing

5. The billing portal should permit administrators and managers to view the details of staff who report to them, eg. the Finance manager should be able to see usage details of the Finance team members

6. Offer an easy to use, simple to administer and cost effective roaming solution for staff who are overseas

7. Provide WiFi calling.

8. Offer a Tech Fund for the purchase of extra kit. Note that handsets are not required to be provided under this contract. UKSI owns its devices which are iPhone8 , SE (2020) and iPhone 12.
