Primarily, the Councils require meals that are cooked in a main school kitchen to be collected, transported and delivered to another school which does not have sufficient catering facilities. Tenderers are able to tender individually or for all 3 Councils.

Packed containers are to be collected from a designated kitchen and delivered to the designated delivery point in the receiving establishment at the time stated. Timely delivery is of critical importance to this contract.
The meals are packed into containers/boxes by the production kitchen and collected and delivered to the servery at set times each day, times must be adhered to meet schools’ lunch service, however mealtimes may be changed during the period of the contract. The collection times are set to meet the target of serving a meal within one hour of the meal being packed for transport. Delivery to the Servery must be a minimum of 15 minutes prior to serving time.

The Council will use an independent credit scoring organisation, namely CreditSafe, to conduct appropriate financial probity checks.
Result of Credit Report: If the Credit Report of any bidder contains a risk rating between Very High Risk – Moderate Risk, bidders will be given an opportunity to provide additional information which will be taken into account during the Council’s assessment. Where it is considered that the additional supporting information does not provide evidence to the satisfaction of the Council that risk is mitigated, the bidder may be awarded a mark of fail and subsequently disqualified.
