The current service delivery model is split between 2 organisations, with an external contractor managing the administration of the service as well as the operation of Stockport Crematorium, whilst SMBC staff manage the operation of the rest of the cemeteries across the Borough.

As we continually strive to deliver the best service possible for the residents of Stockport and the surrounding areas, we would now like to combine all the aspects of the service in to one single amalgamated delivery model.
