The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge (“the Authority”) are seeking Tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations for the contract for the provision of holiday activities programme.
The Contract shall commence on 26th July 2021 and shall continue up to and including 31st December 2021 (“the Contract Period”).
The DfE has provided all upper-tier Local Authorities with grant funding to deliver free holiday activities and enriching activities, to all children aged 5-16 in receipt of Free School Meals who wish to engage. The grant funding covers the Summer and Winter 2021 holiday period. Children should be offered a total of 16 hours of holiday activities per week, for the equivalent of 4 x weeks in the Summer and 1 x week in the Winter holiday periods, comprising the following core elements:
• Healthier eating opportunities
• Physical activity
• Engaging and enriching activities which support resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wide educational attainment
• Safety and social inclusion
• Increased knowledge of health and nutrition
• Increased engagement with school and other local services
