two.1.4) Short description

Ashlyns School is a large, successful secondary school in Berkhamsted with 1,500 pupils from Year 7 to Sixth Form. The school has two adjacent wooden panelled restaurants and serving counters which are very busy over service times. There is a separate sixth form cafe with a modern, high-street style counter and barista coffee service along with a separate seating area. There is a large outdoor covered seating area and the school has a lot of outdoor space available. The school is situated in a stunning 18th Century Foundling Hospital and the school has been used as a set location for many films including The Crown and Golda. With a busy service running in term time the school has a growing, year-round venue hire, sports hire, events and Lets department. The Lettings and Events Office will need specific support from the successful bidder in delivering high quality catering for these events. The school is looking for a professional education caterer that can deliver excellent food

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The school are tendering their catering services with a contract start date of 1st September 2022 and will be for an initial three-year period. There is an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years subject to client satisfaction and client agreement on budgets and service levels. This contract will reward maximising sales and FSM uptake through pro-active management and consistently high levels of food quality and tangible contract support. The School and CCL expect the successful Contractor to guarantee their financial proposal within reason and deliver excellent standards.
