The London Borough of Hillingdon (Hillingdon) currently manages and maintains the domestic gas installations of approximately 9,000 tenanted Council properties.
The objectives of this contract are to appoint one service provider (contractor) to carry out the servicing, responsive breakdown maintenance and remedial works to maintain London Borough of Hillingdon’s’ gas fired appliances, central heating and hot water system installations in a legally compliant and serviceable condition and to the current Gas Safety, Installation and use Regulations.
The London Borough of Hillingdon reserves the right to add or reduce the number of properties during the contract.
The works will consist of:
• The annual Landlords Gas Safety Inspection and issue of (L.G.S.R.)
• Service of London Borough of Hillingdon’s Gas fired Appliances - annually (domestic appliances)
• Gas safety checks for void properties and re-commissioning
• Semi comprehensive breakdown and repair cover 24 hour service (3 star) all year round
• Other responsive repairs and replacement works as required and as priced in the Pricing Schedule

The Council intends to award a contract for these services for a period of three years with an option to extend for a further 2 years subject to agreement and satisfactory performance.
A maximum of seven (7) Applicants will be shortlisted who will then be asked to submit a response at the ITT stage.
The evaluation process will be carried out internally within London Borough of Hillingdon’s Procurement & Planned Works Team. Factors to be considered by those contractors shortlisted and invited to tender for this service are that their bids will be based on the following weightings:
Commercial (Price) - 50%
Quality - 50%
Those Contractors who are successful at the SQ stage will be invited to submit competitive tenders.
