The current contracts for the operating, maintenance and servicing of Biomass boilers are
due to expire on 31 March 2023. A new contract is required to continue with the operating,
servicing, and maintenance of these boilers. In addition to this, we require the delivery and
offloading of woodchips on a regular basis to each site. These contracts have been in place
for varying lengths, with all due to expire on the 31 March 2023.The boilers vary in
manufacturer and size to meet the individual heating requirements on each site.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The proposed new contract will run from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2027. A single supplier will be appointed for the day-to-day operation, delivery and supply of fuel, supply of low temperature hot water, maintenance and servicing of all the Biomass Boilers at the locations stated below. The exact number / and locations of boilers to be covered may fluctuate during the course of any resultant award.

The successful Tenderer will also be required to supply, deliver and offload woodchips to
each site on an as required basis to provide the necessary amount of fuel to supply the
heating systems and maintain the required operating temperatures. The delivery and
frequency of delivery of the woodchips to the sites would be the responsibility of the
contractor to ensure optimum delivery frequencies are adhered to
