London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is currently undertaking preliminary market consultation for a CAFM and Health & Safety Management solution. The project will select and implement a CAFM and Health & Safety Management system so as to consolidate and coordinate multiple Estates functions and Health and Safety functions. The aim is to streamline operations within the Estates and Health & Safety departments by, ideally, having a single centralised solution that meets both of their requirements.
The CAFM system will enable the Estates Department and Facilities Management Team to effectively manage, control and maintain the LSHTM estate including, listed London offices and two overseas MRC units based in Gambia and Uganda, supporting a team of in-house operatives and third party external contractors.
The Health and Safety functionality must enable LSHTM to ensure the implementation of its Health and Safety Management systems by providing a digital platform facilitating completion, peer review and approval of risk assessments, audits and inspections, incident reporting and tracking of actions and progress against Key Performance Indicators. This Health and Safety functionality is across the entire scope of LSHTM’s research and teaching activities, both in the UK, and overseas.
