This notice is an intention to award a contract under the competitive process.
Description of the services to be provided:
Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service for people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and/or complex Mental Health needs in Community Mental Health Teams. IPS is an evidence-based model of supported employment. It has been rigorously trialled and has consistently outperformed all other tested forms of support for job seekers with severe and enduring mental health problems.
The initial lifetime value of the contract is £15,452,825.28 with a potential additional increase of £6,673,116.72 through possible further investment by NHSE in IPS services, as outlined in the tender documents. Total potential lifetime value of £22,125,942.
The service is will commence on 1st July 2025 for an initial period of 3 years 9 months, with an optional extension period of 2 years.
