NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board invited tenders for the provision of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service for people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and/or complex Mental Health needs in Community Mental Health Teams. IPS is an evidence-based model of supported employment. It has been rigorously trialled and has consistently outperformed all other tested forms of support for job seekers with severe and enduring mental health problems.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using the competitive process.
The service is will commence on 1st July 2025 for an initial period of 3 years 9 months, with an optional extension period of 2 years.
The initial lifetime value of the contract is £15,452,825.28 with a potential additional increase of £6,673,116.72 through possible further investment by NHSE in IPS services, as outlined in the tender documents. Total potential lifetime value of £22,125,942.
