LBC is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to enter into an agreement to provide regular servicing and preventative maintenance to existing stair lifts, through lifts, step lifts and hoist installations to properties and replacement where deemed necessary. Currently LBC have approximately 300 properties which have equipment installed from various manufacturers. We also service and maintain certain client’s equipment fitted under our DFG program and there are currently 25 private properties which fall under this scheme. This number may increase and/or decrease as equipment is installed / removed. An out of hours service must be provided which covers bank holidays, public holidays and weekends.
It is a legal requirement that all equipment within LBC properties and private properties, where the equipment is our responsibility, is inspected on an annual basis in line with current guidelines. LBC also have a duty of care to the residents to ensure that the equipment is maintained in good working order and is fit for purpose and therefore servicing is required on a statutory basis (hoists and lifts every 6 months and stair lifts annually).
LBC require a professional Provider as work will be within residents’ homes and within Luton we have a very diverse population.
