two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) currently sources an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDWS) Service to enable the operation and maintenance of a secure, compliant, data warehouse service that is supported by Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) applications including Snowflake, Matillion, Lamda and Tableau software components, (integrated through a supplier developed 'bootstrap' software component). The Service extracts, loads and transforms data out of designated partner sources for placement in a centralised EDWS repository.

EDWS data is critical to the operation and management of TfGM Ticketing (and other) Schemes.

Following a procurement exercise to call-off services against Framework RM1557.14 (G-Cloud 14), TfGM has sourced a service that will enable continued operation and maintenance of an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDWS) Service that is supported by Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) applications including Snowflake, Matillion, Lamda and Tableau software components.

Over the contract term of this agreement, TfGM expects to undertake a full strategic review of its Enterprise Data Warehouse capability, potentially considering solutions that will support data warehouse requirements that will meet the needs of a wider group of functions across TfGM (In addition to the current requirements and scope). The previous contract for the EDWS (with Synvert TCM Ltd) expired in June 2025. The new agreement with Manuka AI Ltd (The successor to Synvert TCM Ltd) will comprise a two tear term, with two options to further extend the agreement by 12 months in each case.

The sourcing exercise on G-Cloud 14 has been progressed as a competitive sourcing exercise against potential suppliers (that are members of Framework RM1557.14 (G-Cloud 14), in accordance with the framework sourcing guidelines.
