Engagement process description
1. Introduction
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) is undertaking early market engagement regarding the future provision of Occupational Health (OH) Services. The purpose of this exercise is to obtain supplier insights that will inform the development of our procurement strategy. Participation in this engagement is entirely voluntary and will not influence any subsequent tender evaluation. This notice does not constitute a call for competition.
2. Background
LPT delivers healthcare services across multiple sites and employs a diverse workforce. The Trust requires comprehensive OH services to support employee health, wellbeing, and statutory compliance. Current contractual arrangements are under review, and we are seeking to explore options for a modern, efficient, and resilient OH service that meets the needs of our organisation.
The anticipated contract will be for an initial term of two (2) years, with provisions for potential extensions subject to performance and organizational requirements. The estimated total contract value is approximately £1,000,000.00 reflecting the scale and strategic importance of these services to the Trust.
3. Purpose of Engagement
- Understand market capabilities and innovations
- Identify potential delivery models (on-site, remote, hybrid)
- Assess risks and opportunities
- Inform specification and commercial approach
4. Indicative Scope
- Pre-employment screening and fitness-for-work assessments
- Management referrals and sickness absence case management
- Vaccinations and immunisations (e.g., Hep-B, flu)
- Health surveillance (e.g., COSHH, noise, respiratory)
- Digital OH case management system and reporting
- Optional: Physiotherapy, psychological support, wellbeing initiatives
