The Client wishes to employ a suitably experienced and qualified contractor to undertake the management and maintenance of the Langdon Hills District Heating System

The services that this contract is expected to include relate to four discrete elements namely (i) Supply of Energy, (ii) Maintenance of District Heating Plant, (iii) Meter Reading and Billing Support (iv) Lighting

The production and supply of hot water to meet the demand across the Estate for space heating and domestic hot water.

Maintain the primary distribution circuits, temperature and quantity of hot water necessary to meet the demand across the Estate for space heating and domestic water requirements.

Meter Management and Billing support

The contracting authority is Basildon Borough Council and any Successor Body meaning one or more entities which assumes any of the Council's functions (as applicable) as a result of Local Government Reform (LGR).Such successor body or bodies may be, without limitation, a local authority, a combined county authority, a strategic authority or any other status determined pursuant to the Devolution and LGR Legislation.

Description

The production and supply of hot water to meet the demand. To maintain in good condition and repair the existing boiler house plant and associated heat distribution systems. Maintain the primary distribution circuits, temperature and quantity of hot water. Lighting support owner occupier and leaseholders in the provision of in dwelling servicing and advice.

•Support Basildon heating team in responding to enquiries from the raising of quarter billing in arrears.
