WCC is commissioning a partner to deliver an organisation-wide diagnostic of commercial practices particularly in contract management, and to design a commercial function and commercial strategy. This work will provide the foundation for a whole-council approach that is flexible, commercially robust, and aligned to strategic priorities.
The diagnostic is a strategic enabler designed to:
• Improve commercial capability and governance
• Reduce duplication and inefficiencies
• Enhance value for money
• Strengthen commercial engagement
• Drive commercial value through contract management
• Support the development of a commercially astute organisation
This work will cover all directorates and service areas, including demand-led services (Housing, Adult Social Care, Children's Services, Environment and Communities) and corporate functions.
