Reactive and planned maintenance and servicing of this equipment must be undertaken by a competent, highly specialised contractor. The systems are complex and have specific supporting software.

The flyte pumps were installed by Xylem. Xylem headquarters are in England, with a regional Belfast Office.

During the construction Phase, NIFRS visited similar facilitates in Pinkston, Glasgow and Lee Valley White Water Recreational Centre. Both facilities have similar pumps installed. The lessons learned from these visits were that when the facilities opted for an alternative maintenance supplier, then there were significant issues with the pumps malfunctioning.

Given the Geographical location, it is proposed that the maintenance services are provided by Xylem Belfast Office who can offer a local response.
