Description

The NHSBSA are undertaking an RFI in relation to an Integrated Research Delivery Solution.

NHSBSA, as digital delivery partner to NIHR, is managing the Research Delivery Data and Intelligence (RDDI) project which aims to create a new digital service, to provide a real-time overview of the delivery status of health and care research nationally. This service will provide information to patients, the public and key stakeholders including industry and health research. This will provide deeper insights into research performance, capability and capacity in research host organisations to the UK Government and other stakeholders. This is expected to support activity in England and may extend to the Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (Devolved Administrations).  The requirement for an Integrated Research Delivery Solution form part of the RDDI project.

The Integrated Research Delivery Solution needs to provide the a system to cover three core capabilities:

• Scalable workflow capability so that research data needs and activities can be managed in a secure, user- based, real time UK wide environment.

• Data integration & transformation capability to allow data to be easily integrated and de-duplicated/transformed through APIs into and out-of the Integrated Research Delivery Solution.

• BI/AI capability providing a real time data reporting and analytical insight to support a wide user base across four health and care administrations within the UK with tailored reporting needs.

The RFI will be seeking high-level information to enable the NHSBSA to assess the market, and to inform the design of the programme and determine the requirements for any future procurement process.

Interested parties must register an interest in this RFI via https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome (search opportunities using system reference C390630). The RFI documents are available within the Health Family Portal from 18th November 2025.
