Description
Kent County Council are looking to commission a new and innovative Community Wellbeing Service for older people, individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairments and dementia. These services aim to promote proactive health and wellbeing, increase independence and reduce or delay the need for additional care and support. Engagement process description
Kent County Council (KCC) is inviting organisations to participate in engagement events to help shape the future commissioning of community wellbeing services for older people, individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and dementia. These services aim to promote proactive health and wellbeing, increase independence, and reduce or delay the need for additional care and support.
Description:
To help shape future commissioning of these services, KCC is inviting all interested organisations to attend a market/stakeholder engagement event.
The engagement events will gather insights to inform future service design and commissioning. Topics will include:
Service vision,
Good practice examples,
What are people you support telling you about how they would like to be supported and outcomes they want to achieve,
How demand, needs and service requirement have changed in recent years,
Innovation and targeting of services,
Equity and Inclusion,
How we collaborate in the future.
The Council will be hosting 4 locality based and 2 virtual market/stakeholder engagement events, which will follow the same agenda. Dates and times of these events are detailed below. Tea and coffee will be provided at all face-to-face events.
East Kent = Monday 1st December - 13.30 - 15.30 - Godmersham and Crundale Village Hall
East Kent = Tuesday 2nd December - 9.30-11.30 - West Faversham Community Centre
West Kent = Wednesday 3rd December - 13.30-15.30 - Paddock Wood Community Centre
North Kent = Thursday 4th December - 9.30-11.30 - Riverside Resource Community Centre - Gravesend
Virtual = Wednesday 10th December - 10.00-11.30 - Microsoft Teams (Invitations will be sent nearer the time)
Virtual = Thursday 11th December - 13.30-15.00 - Microsoft Teams (Invitations will be sent nearer the time)

The council may cancel events if there is little or no response on a particular date.
