Scope

Description

East Norfolk Sixth Form College is conducting a tender exercise for the design and build of a New Sports Pavilion. The College have been working with architects and have secured planning for a new building containing changing facilities for the 3G Football pitch and a 3 badminton court sized sports hall with storage.

The Senior Team will be overseeing the project management from the College side but we are looking for a contractor to provide a design and build package from our initial plans.

Total value (estimated)

  • £1,200,000 excluding VAT
  • £1,440,000 including VAT

Award criteria

Tenders will be assessed against the following criteria (weighting used in evaluation):

(a) Cost (40%)

(b) Sustainable features to all the building to be energy cost neutral (10%)

(c) Commitment to meet the College's requirements with a quality service (15%)

(d) Expertise of the firm (20%)

(e) Liability limitation and levels of professional indemnity insurance (10%)

(f) Understanding of and commitment to the education sector (5%)

Please note that the quality of the service is important to the College. Whilst cost will be a key factor in evaluating the tenders, the College will not necessarily select the lowest cost tender.
