Scope

Description

This procurement is for the provision of the Young People's Supported Accommodation Pathway. The Pathway will provide a range of non-registered residential accommodation and support services for young people aged 16-25-year-olds.

This is the 2nd phase which comprises of the following lots:

Lot 1 - Mixed/High Support

Lot 2 - Mixed Support

Lot 3 - Assessment Services

Total value (estimated)

  • £21,988,800 including VAT

The contracts may be extended for a period of 36 months in length at the sole discretion of the Council.

Lot 1. Young People's Supported Accommodation Pathway - Mixed/High Support

Description

Young People entering any high needs service will already be known to the Local Authority.

The young people who are referred to the service will be those young people whose support needs would meet the criteria for the service.

The length of stay for this stage will be needs led and can be up to 5 years.

The service will need to be of a high-quality with fully trained staff.

Tenderers bidding for this lot must have available 26 units at tender stage. See tender pack for further details.

Tenderers must have experience of successfully gaining Ofsted registration for at least one supported accommodation provision for young people.

Lot 2. Young People's Supported Accommodation Pathway - Mixed Support

Description

The service will provide both assessment and high needs beds, and at least three emergency beds. The service is expected to work with young people entering the service will have a range of complex needs.

Tenders bidding for this service must have available 18 units at tender stage. See tender pack for further details.

Tenderers must have experience of successfully gaining Ofsted registration for at least one supported accommodation provision for young people.

Lot 3. Young People's Supported Accommodation Pathway - Assessment Service

Description

The Assessment service will be made up of 40 units of accommodation, with the inclusion of two emergency beds across two properties. The services will provide both assessment and high needs beds, and at least three emergency beds (one per setting).

The young people who are referred to the service will be those young people whose support needs meet the criteria for the service.

Tenderers must have experience of successfully gaining Ofsted registration for at least one supported accommodation provision for young people.
