Scope

Description

The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham is holding a market engagement session ahead of the forthcoming reprocurement of our Direct Payment Support Service (DPSS).

Direct Payments (DPs) are the cornerstone of the Council’s vision for Independent Living. They allow users with statutory care needs (or a nominated person acting on their behalf) to receive a budget from the Council to find the care that best meets their needs, typically using a pre-paid card. This empowers residents with more choice and control over the care they receive and who delivers that care.

The current contract provides support to DP users by providing information and advice about DPs and being an employer, facilitating peer support, promoting direct payments, cultivating the Personal Assistant market and providing training to residents and Council staff.

The purpose of the market engagement is to communicate to the market our priorities and timeline, and in turn to hear from the market about innovative ideas in service provision and about any barriers to tendering.

The event will take place on Teams Tuesday 21st October 3pm-4pm. If you are interested in attending please email Lydia.Sabatini@lbhf.gov.uk
