Leicester City Council is considering commissioning a Public Health Funeral contract for the provision of funerals as part of its statutory duty within the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984. It is anticipated, dependent upon an engagement exercise, that tenders for this service would be sought in late October 2025, to enable a new contract to begin from 01/04/2026.
