Description

The City of Doncaster Council is seeking to develop a framework of providers to support us to deliver our Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) housing adaptations. Adapting a home environment can help restore or enable independent living, privacy, confidence and dignity for individuals and their families. Home adaptations are changes made to the fabric and fixtures of a home to make it safer and easier to get around and to use for everyday tasks like cooking and bathing. Adaptations can include the installation of stair-lifts, level access showers and wet-rooms, wash and dry toilets, ramps, wider doors, and, in some instances, bespoke home extensions to existing dwellings as well as improvements to access to and from gardens. At this stage it is anticipated that the framework will consist of nine lots. Lot One - Minor Adaptations Extractors, moving sockets, moving heating controls etc. Lot Two - Kitchen Adaptations Kitchen redesign Lot Three - Bathroom Adaptations Bathroom redesign Lot Four - Housing Adaptations Changes to internal layout Lot Five - Extensions Accessible ground floor extensions Lot Six - Accessibility Adaptation Ramps, half steps, handrails, parking bays and driveways Lot Seven - Lifts and Hoists Stairlifts, through lifts, step lifts, hoists - supply, fit and maintenance. To maintain the principles of a fair, open and transparent process any questions asked during the event will be recorded with the replies and shared on our contract portal YORtender and issued with the tender documents.
