Description
The key aims of the Framework are:
a. To provide inpatient detoxification services to service users that complies with current and future best practice, which is in line with national and local applicable guidance, and with relevant protocols in clinical practice. Please view some of these listed in Section 4.0 'Service Delivery'.
b. To support service users to have, where assessed as appropriate by registered health care professionals within the Consortium, rapid access to effective and evidence-based harm reduction and harm prevention strategies.
c. To support those service users who are preparing for a Residential Rehabilitation placement to address any current physical and psychological dependency.

Framework operation description
Please see the Framework 'Call-Off Procedure' for information. Where the terms of the framework are sufficiently precise to cover the particular call-off, a Framework may be awarded without re-opening the competition i.e. a 'Direct Award'. Where the terms laid down in the framework are not precise enough or complete for the particular call-off, a further competition (i.e. a Mini Competition) shall be held with all the Providers within the relevant framework.
