Description
Provision of patient and retail catering at Kingston Hospital as per the (draft) specification provided upon request.
The Supplier shall provide a high-quality Catering Service which offers a range of appetising and nutritious food and drink to enable all customers to have a choice which reflects their dietary needs and tastes 24 hours per day, 365(6) days per year (or as specifically defined within the relevant section in the Catering Service Specification). The flexible Catering Service shall provide for changing customer needs and adapt to the nature of the service provided within the Authority.

Engagement process description
Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust will shortly be using issuing an open tender to the entire market for their patient and retail catering services contract - in order to engage with SMEs to gain their input on the proposed scope and structure of the new contract, the Trust wish to share their draft specification and post 3 high level questions to gain valuable insight from the SME market.
If any SMEs wish to review the draft specification they are asked to request a copy of emailing efprocurement@stgeorges.nhs.uk using the subject line "KRFT Patient and Retail Catering - draft spec request."
Upon receipt of such requests, a copy of the draft specification will be emailed across. Thereafter, SMEs are asked to consider the following questions and provide responses to efprocurement@stgeorges.nhs.uk by midday Thursday 7th August 2025:
1. Are there any aspects of the draft specification that you feel may present barriers to SME participation?
2. Do you consider the scope, contract structure and service model to be appropriate and deliverable for SMEs?
3. Are there any innovations, approaches or delivery models that you think should be considered to improve service quality or efficiency?
