Scope
Description
The London Borough of Hillingdon (LBH) will appoint a Hillingdon Employment Project Co-ordinator to manage a local employment support initiative. This role will work closely with an Employment Project Worker, employed by a contracted service provider, to deliver tailored support to economically inactive residents.
Context:
The project aligns with the Get Britain Working agenda and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), focusing on integrated employment and health support.
The UKSPF has been extended to March 2026, allowing flexible local delivery under the People & Skills investment priority.
Objectives:
Reduce barriers to employment for economically inactive individuals.
Provide intensive, wrap-around support to help participants move towards employment or education.
Collaborate with specialist training providers (e.g., ESOL, digital, maths, English) for additional support.
Requirements:
• A bespoke service for clients with complex needs.
• Appointment of an Employment Project Worker via a contracted provider.
• Strong collaboration between the Co-ordinator and Worker.
• Clear referral pathways and partnerships with local stakeholders (e.g., Job Centres, employers).
• Development of individual action plans for each participant.
• Seamless integration with specialist training services.
