Tenders are invited for the supply of emergency accommodation comprising of up to 40 units of one-bedroom accommodation and up to 20 units of two-bedroom accommodation. The emergency accommodation will be used solely by the Council’s Housing Needs Teams for placement of households in need. The Provider, or Providers, will be expected to provide a responsive service as bookings are often made at short notice, usually on the day an approach to the Council is made for assistance. The location of accommodation will be factored into the evaluation process with highest priority being given to 1 within Reading Borough Council’s boundary and then all other locations within the Reading Broad Market Rental Area that do no fall within RBC’s boundary.
