Scope
Description
whg is seeking to engage with suppliers to explore options for a consolidated contract covering the servicing, maintenance and repairs of fire safety and access control systems. In line with the Procurement Act 2023, this market engagement exercise aims to gather insights from suppliers to inform the development of a robust procurement strategy and shape our procurement process for a single, integrated outcome.
The proposed contract scope includes:
- Fire Alarm Servicing and Maintenance: Routine inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
- Life Safety Equipment: Maintenance and servicing of firefighting equipment, including extinguishers, hydrants, rising mains and sprinkler systems and related systems as well as emergency lighting and smoke control systems.
- Door Entry Systems: Maintenance and repair of door entry and intercom systems to ensure secure and reliable operation.
- Access Controls: Servicing and maintenance of automated gates, barriers, and other access control systems to support secure and efficient access management.
Currently, these services are managed under separate contracts, but whg is exploring the feasibility of consolidating and bringing them together to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and achieve cost-effectiveness. We are keen to understand supplier capabilities, innovative solutions, and market trends that could enhance service delivery and compliance.
