Buckinghamshire Council is looking to commission a contract for the provision of Healthwatch Buckinghamshire. Healthwatch is the independent consumer champion for Health and Social Care. Healthwatch Buckinghamshire will give citizens and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how Health and Social Care services are provided across the County.
Through effective evidence-based approaches and strong engagement, Healthwatch Buckinghamshire will build up a local picture of community needs, aspirations and the experience of people who engage with the service.
Healthwatch Buckinghamshire will be highly visible and easily accessible to all individuals within the County as well as being a signposting service to local people with regards to their Health and Social Care choices.
The service must be dynamic and responsive, not only representing the local population, but also linking them to Health and Social Care providers. The Provider must take steps to embed the service so that it is an integral part of the Health and Social Care landscape and be valued by residents and professionals alike.
