Alperton Community School is an Ofsted rated Good mixed Secondary School in Alperton, London. It has over 1,900 students between the ages of 11 and 18 on roll and 120 teaching and support staff across two campuses some five minutes apart. The current cleaning contract is in the final year of operation and the School is required to tender the contract. The incumbent contractor is Kindred FM. The contract start date is the 1st of August 2024 and this will be for an initial three-year period. There is an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years subject to client satisfaction and client agreement on budgets and service levels.This contract will reward maximising cleaning productivity and controlling costs effectively through pro-active management and consistently high levels of tangible contract support. The cleaning team have a mix of LGPS and NEST pensions.The contract start date is the 1st of August 2024 and this will be for an initial three-year period. There is an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years subject to client satisfaction and client agreement on budgets and service levels.This contract will reward maximising cleaning productivity and controlling costs effectively through pro-active management and consistently high levels of tangible contract support. The school has a resolute focus on high expectations for their students, their community and their staff. Mr Gerard McKenna, the Headteacher, and Mr Suresh Jatla the Director of Finance & Resourcesare very close to the cleaning operation on both sites. They are tendering their cleaning services to deliver the very best service for every student at the school. The School have requested that in this tender exercise the bidders focus on:A TUPE Compliant Bid with additional recommendations on service equipment, serving points, staffing levels and a bespoke cleaning concept to improve cleaning standards In short, the School needs to be convinced the bidders are able to deliver their promises, achieve their performance targets, deliver their service enhancements in full and support the School. Should the School not be convinced of this they reserve the right to revert to an ‘insourced’ solution or post no award.
