two.2.4) Description of the procurement

UKUPC wished to develop a dedicated, national and regional Framework to cover the variety of services included in the Estate Professional Services arena for it's members which include the HE sector, galleries, libraries, art insitutions, museums and reseach bodies.

Through the Framework and successful appointment of specialist companies, we will work with Members and the supplier base to ensure sustainability is a key driver to the successful delivery of projects.

UKUPC would like to differentiate itself from the “competition” by exploring the implementation of a framework covering services which provide:

• Comprehensive support throughout the life of the project by providing guidance and support to our Members from project conception through to completion.

• Supporting initiatives which cover sustainability, eco builds and renovation projects which have specific considerations for our Members

• Support for Members working with listed buildings

• Support for a variety of other potential build hazards including but not limited environmental factors specific to member needs.

It is expected the Framework will be broken down into seven Lots to cover a variety of Services and Regions. These will be as follows:

Lot 1: Lead Consultant / Multi-Disciplinary Provider (National and/or Regional)

Lot 2: Project Management (Regional)

Lot 3: Quantity Surveying / Cost Consultancy (Regional)

Lot 4: Structural Engineering (Regional)

Lot 5: MEP (Regional)

Lot 6: Planning Consultancy (Regional) including but not limited to geological surveying, listed buildings consultancy and associated planning considerations, energy consumption and related energy services.
