Lack of contract award would cause a high risk to the Health Board and Local Authorities due to the key role this service plays within the community model. Bespoke Terms and Conditions are to be built to ensure clear support for all Contracting Authorities while this 12 month interim contract period is active.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board are aiming to ratify the Direct Award of a contract to the incumbent supplier Healthcare Matters UK Ltd for the Maintenance, Service and Testing of Community Equipment within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Flintshire County Council and Denbighshire County Council.
This contract is to be seen as an interim arrangement while a detailed Procurement process is carried out. Following advice from the NWSSP Legal and Risk Department during initial re-tendering discussions, it has been noted that a further review of the Terms and Conditions is to take place due to the involvement of multiple contracting authorities. It has been advised that a Memorandum of Understanding is to be created amongst the contracting authorities to ensure clear stipulation of contract responsibilities and liabilities
This agreement is to run in line with the current contract term of 01/07/2025-30/06/2026.This 12 month period will allow NWSSP Procurement Services to work closely with the associated parties while review is undertaken by the relevant Legal and Risk colleagues.
