two.2.4) Description of the procurement

This is a notice of intention to award a contract under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Most Suitable Provider procedure to Precision Neurosurgical Partnership Ltd., 3 Jenny Brough Meadows, Hessle HU13 0TE.

The Provider will support with the provision of consultants for all aspects of Neurosurgical activity, including complex and cancer elective care work, supporting the Trust provision as a Specialist Spinal Surgery Centre. The full spectrum of the work required will include neurosurgical and complex spinal pathology, including degenerative spine, neuro-oncology, skull base, pituitary and neuro-vascular elements. HUTH will identify a cohort of patients who require booking and provide facilities for the inpatient procedures and clinic. The Provider will provide the necessary clinical staff.

The contract will operate 27/11/2024 to 31/03/2025 with an option to extend for a further 3 months and with an estimated lifetime value of £100,000 in total.

The selection of the Provider was conducted based on responses to a questionnaire to evaluate the Provider's ability to deliver the required services in line with the priorities of the Trust with regard to the key criteria.

The decision to award the contract was made by the Head of contracting & Commissioning and the Neurosciences Senior Managers.
