Derbyshire County Council (The Council) Children’s Services Catering Service is seeking a
supplier for the provision of fresh produce and potatoes for schools and establishments
located within the geographical area of Derbyshire, Derby and neighbouring counties as per
Appendix D Schedule of Establishments.
Derbyshire County Council’s Catering Service is one of the largest specialist education
caterers in the country serving around 60,000 meals to school pupils daily.
The contract shall be for an initial 3-year period commencing 1st January 2023 with options
to extend for two further periods of 2 years up to a maximum of 7 years. Currently the
Council’s Children’s Services administrates and manages the contract on behalf of both
Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council.
