two.1.4) Short description
This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and is not being used as a call for competition. It is to notify the market that West Northamptonshire Council (the "Authority") intends to issue a Contract Notice in January 2025 for the procurement of a new contract for the management and operation of the Council's leisure facilities from 1 April 2026. The facilities include:
• Daventry Leisure Centre
• Moulton Leisure Centre
• Daventry Sports Park
• Danes Camp Leisure Centre
• Mounts Baths
• Lings Forum Leisure Centre
A brief summary overview of each facility can be found below:
Daventry Leisure Centre: Built in 1996, the centre includes a 6-lane 25m main pool / leisure water and teaching pool, 6-court sports hall, 95-station gym, studio, café (currently disused) and multipurpose hall.
Moulton Leisure Centre: Built in 2012 and extended in 2020 the centre includes a 6-lane 25m main pool with moveable floor and two hydrotherapy pools, an 80-station gym with exercise studio and spin studio and a health suite with spa, sauna and steam room.
Daventry Sports Park: The centre includes a full size floodlit 3G artificial turf pitch, 5 x grass football pitches and hub building with changing rooms, office and meeting space.
Danes Camp Leisure Centre: Built in 1987, the centre includes a c.250 sqm leisure pool with flume and features, 4-court sports hall, 70-station gym, exercise studio and spin studio, sauna and steam room.
Mounts Baths: Built in 1936, the centre includes a 6-lane 30m main pool and 20m teaching pool, 35-station gym, spin studio and health suite with sauna, steam room and plunge pool.
Lings Forum Leisure Centre: Built in 1974, the centre includes a 5-lane 25m pool, 6-court sports hall, 65 station gym, exercise studio and spin studio, 4 squash courts and a 1 screen cinema with 200 seats. Within the procurement there may be an option to submit variant bids with a view to testing investment opportunities for Lings Forum.

This procurement will be carried out in line with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the choice of procedure will likely be a Competitive Procedure with the option of Negotiation as per Regulation 29.
