This sourcing exercise is engage a supplier to undertake a project in South East Asia which will be funded by the Department for Business and Trade.
The aim of this project is the creation of two (2) IP e-commerce Codes of Conduct in Malaysian and Vietnam signed by IP rights holders and e-commerce platforms that addresses counterfeits on the E-commerce platforms by:
Promoting industry self-regulation and a framework for intra-industry collaboration.
Providing a forum for regular engagements, reviews and implementing global best practices and standards.
Establishing structured processes for monitoring, reporting, taking down of counterfeits, and sharing of data/intel without the roadblocks and restrictions currently faced.
Facilitating performance tracking and KPIs, with light touch government oversight.
Laying the foundation for regulation development.
The Supplier will also be required to deliver capacity building to all ASEAN member states.
